不管是好習慣還是壞習慣,都是逐漸養成的,當一個人重復做某件事時,一種看不見的力量驅使他去重復做同一件事,這樣就養成了習慣,習慣一旦形成,要改掉它是困難的,有時是不可能的。所以,我們在形成習慣的時候要小心謹慎,這一點是非常重要的,小孩子常常會養成壞習慣,這些壞習慣中有的一直保留到你死去為止,年紀大的人也會養成壞習慣,在某些情況下,這些壞習慣能毀掉人,還有的早年養成的習慣成了一件幸事,許多成功者聲稱他們很多的成功要歸功于早年生活所形成的習慣,諸如準時、早起、誠實和徹底。
Habits, good or bad, are gradually formed. When a person does something repeatedly, a habit is developed by an invisible force which drives him to repeat it. Once formed, it is hard, sometimes even impossible to break it. Therefore, it is of great importance for us to be prudent in training a habit. Children are prone to pick up bad habits, some of which will remain throughout their life. The elderly also tend to form bad habits, which, under certain circumstances, may ruin themselves. Some habits developed in one’s earlier life turn out to be a blessing. Many successful people have claimed that lots of their achievements are attributed to the habits acquired in their earlier life. such as punctuality, early rising, honesty, and perseverance.
