夫子廟位于南京城南，是南京最熱鬧的街市，已經有上千年的歷史。夫子廟原來是供奉和祭祀孔子的地方。明代，夫子廟作為科舉考場，考生云集?？蜅?、飯館、茶館、妓院也應運而生。秦淮河上的燈火連綿十里，歌舞絲竹晝夜不絕，一片繁華綺麗的景象。今天的夫子廟是喧囂的鬧市，這里有地道的南京風味小吃和當地手工藝品。
The Confucius Temple is located in the busiest street in the Southern part of Nanjing city. The temple is over a thousand years old and was originally a place set aside to revere Confucius by offering sacrifices. During the Ming Dynasty, students gathered there to take part in the imperial competitive examination. Taverns, restaurants, and teahouses emerged in the area and the lights of boats were reflected for miles along the Qinhuai River. This area was a prosperous and glamorous place where singing, dancing, and music continued day and night. The Confucius Temple is now a bustle marketplace where Nanjing-style snacks and local handcrafted items are readily available.
