Educational equality is the best vision we are expecting. In most cities, migrant children are denied entry to local senior high schools. Without a permanent urban residence permit, they are even not allowed to take the National College Entrance Examination in these cities. It can be hardly denied that migrant children do not have the equal rights of being educated as the local children. But the truth is that the number of migrant children is increasing every year, which means that if this large group of school-age children are not able to receive the equal education, not only their own life but also the future of our country will be affected.
To ensure equal education for them, the government needs to work harder. No matter how challenging it is, the government should not turn away from it. The educational system reform is needed in urgency.
