Named after the famous water conservancy project in ancient China, Dujiangyan city is a national historical and cultural city with a history of more than 2 000 years. In ancient times, floods were rampant during the rainy season and water was not available during the dry season. According to the special terrain of the upstream outlet of the Minjiang River, Li Bing built such a water conservancy project with a special structure. Integrating multiple functions such as water and flood diversion, Dujiangyan has long been playing a role in flood prevention and irrigation. It embodies the wisdom of Chinese people to coexist harmoniously with nature, and it is the oldest water conservancy project in the world.
