廟會(the temple fair)是中國民間的一種傳統民俗活動。廟會起源于古代人們供奉神明、祈求庇佑的活動。后來逐漸發展成為節日期間一種物品交流和文化表演的活動形式。廟會一般設在寺廟里或寺廟附近的空場地上,在節日或規定的日子舉辦。逛廟會的老百姓從四面八方趕來買賣貨物,觀看表演,品嘗小吃。整個廟會熙熙攘攘,熱鬧非常。
The temple fair is a kind of traditional folk activity in China. Originating in ancient times when people worshiped gods and prayed for the blessing, the temple fair gradually evolved into an activity of products exchange and cultural performances during festivals later.
